Companies, universities band together to pool R&D resources

More than two dozen Hungarian companies and institutions involved in R&D have formed an alliance in an effort to pool the country’s resources in the fields of innovation, research and development, mediainfo.hu reports.

Conceived by leading telco Magyar Telecom Zrt, Mobilitás és Multimédia Klaszter is an the umbrella organization that currently has 30 companies and universities among its members, including leading players of the local R&D scene, such as Ericsson, HP, Sun Microsystems, GTS-Datanet Hungary, Albacomp, Origo, and Budapest technical and economy university BME.

The cluster orgnaization, which covers the entire innovation market from research to marketing, will focus on mobile solutions, such as mobile TV services, e-healthcare, multimedia content, intelligent transportation, and location-dependent services.
