“Moziünnep” organizers looking for new sponsor after Nokia departs

Organizers of the discount movie event “Moziünnep” are looking for a new sponsor after mobile phone company Nokia recently decided not to continue supporting the festival, reports Napi.hu (subscriber only). The four-day event will be held for the fifth time between September 25 and 28.

The popularity of the event has been growing each year, and organizers say it will not be canceled regardless of the result of the search for a new sponsor.

Last year, 555,000 tickets were sold during the four days of the event, which is nearly 5% of annual ticket sales throughout Hungary.

The event is especially popular among the 16 to 25 age group, who account for 60% of all moviegoers.
