Fourteen Hungarian firms are among the members of the latest “Fast 50″ technology firm rankings compiled by Deloitte, writes itcafe.hu, with Hungary having more firms represented than any other country in the region, and two companies in the top 10.
A company’s placement on the list is determined by their revenue from the previous five years. Firms need to have at least €50,000 in income over the previous five years, and must focus on a technology they developed themselves, in addition to focusing significant amount of funds on research and development. Furthermore, companies cannot be daughter companies of multinationals.
Alerant Zrt came in fourth with five year growth of 3,677%, while Onlinet Kft came in sixth with 2,233%.
In the Rising Star category, Hungary’s Nav N Go was the winner, as the navigation software company recorded 7,838% growth, although their income was just about €30,000. Poland’s Blue Media was the “threepeat” winner with growth over 10,000%.
