Austrian permits to be required for “EuroVegas” complex

A permit from Austrian authorites is likely to be needed before construction of the long-running “Eurovegas” project can go ahead, it has recently been revealed. According to Napi.hu, Austria wishes to participate in the impact assessment procedure related to the casino town planned to be built with a Ft 180 billion (over €660 million) investment in Bezenye near the Austrian border.

Austria has said it wanted to be an “active player” in the procedure and involve the public in the preparations for the decision. The country has informed the North Transdanubian Environment Protection and Water Inspectorate, the competent body in the case.
