The Council of Europe’s film fund Eurimages has granted 680,000 euros for the production of two Hungarian films, the Hungarian Film Union told MTI on Monday.

The amount of 240,000 euros has been granted to director Bela Tarr for making a film of the novel “The Turin Horse” in a Hungarian-French-German-Swiss co-production.

The other film, a love story, is award-winning director Benedek Fliegauf’s “Womb” which has received 440,000 euros. Shooting is planned to start at the North Sea next March, the director told MTI in Berlin.
