Unpaid construction workers “unconstruct” store in Tatabánya

Unpaid construction workers started deconstruction a building in Tatabánya on December 10, writes Index.hu, based on Független Hírügynökség.

Local police said they received a call indicating that 20 to 30 people were deconstructing a recently-opened store with various tools. It was later revealed that workers who had been employed to build the store had not been paid, so they later returned to the building and damaged its piping and roof insulation.

The damage caused by workers is yet to be assessed. Police have launched proceedings for vandalism and theft against more than 50 individuals in the case.
