CEO of the state asset manager MNV Miklós Tátrai has asked the chief executives of state-owned and partly state-owned companies to forego 50% of their bonuses for 2008, and the entire amount for 2009. The proceeds would be enough to save 1,000 jobs.
Board members and other executives could see a 10% cut in revenues this year.

I love the way they have to ‘ask to forego bonuses’ when these are state owned. How about just demanding it.
Perhaps they should also give pensioners, state employees, etc. the right to decide on their 13th month?
