German engineering company Bosch will lay off 250 workers at its auto parts plant in Hatvan, near Budapest, because of falling orders, Robert Bosch communications director Zsuzsanna Kukaj told MTI on Thursday.
The plant is Bosch’s biggest in Hungary and will still employ 2,800 full-time staff after the layoffs are made in February, Ms Kukaj said. The plant will eliminate one of its four shifts in the future, she added.
