German property developer ECE plans to start construction of a EUR 130m-140m shopping centre in the Hungarian city of Szeged in mid-2009, Christoph Augustin, managing director of project company Einkaufs-Center Szeged, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
ECE plans to complete the 40,000-square-metre centre by October 2010, but the opening could be delayed until the spring of 2011, Mr Augustin said.
ECE has built shopping centres in the Hungarian cities of Budapest, Gyor, Pecs and Debrecen, according to ECE’s website.
