Hungary’s biggest outdoor media group gets new owner

Epamedia, the Austria-based public space advertising company that runs nearly half of Hungary’s street billboards, has a new owner: Medicur, a member of the Raiffeisen Group, Figyelőnet reports.

Medicur-Holding bought a 50% stake from Epamedia founder Heinrich Schuster, who will stay on as chief executive until the end of this year.

Founded two years ago, Epimedia Hungary Zrt manages six advertising agencies: Multireklám Zrt, Intermédia Kft, Outdoor Zrt, Magnum Megaboard Kft and AkzentMédia Kft, and also owns more than half of the CityLight posters in Hungary.
