Gov’t to divert EU funds from Budapest redevelopment projects

The cabinet is planning to cancel several prominent EU-funded projects today, including the reconstruction of Szent György tér and Dísz tér in the Castle District as well as the upgrading of the Komárom fortress.

The diverted funds will be spent on implementing investment projects to enhance competitiveness and save jobs.
