The reasons Hungarians are not buying new cars is because they are riding in the back of limousines. Duuuuh!

Interesting that higher marques are selling more than the lesser. Would indicate that at the bottom end of the economy the credit spigot has dampened even more.

  3. Bacsi says:

Hungary has been breaking EU Law on car imports since it (loosely) joined the EU.

It’s no surprise that people in Hungary don’t want to pay more than customers in the rest of Europe.

Hungary’s car prices bear NO relation to salaries or abiity to pay/purchase..

What were they expecting.. that the bubble of ignorance would never burst??

Also the reason High end cars sell well in Hungary is that there are oddly so many people around with huge sums of Cash laying around that needs to be lost!! (sorry I meant legitimatley spent after fair and reasonable taxation!)and nothing says ‘I work on the counter at CBA’ better than a Merc S Class, BMW 7 Series or Cadillac Escalade does it…………..

Yeah, Bacsi. Nobody can do conspicuous consumption better or gaudier than the Hungarians can. Never mind that the country had better infrastucture when the Roman Empire’s army was based in Aquincum. I love these Hungarians, buying up 600 HP Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, and Bentleys, for roads that were designed for and are maintained for agricultural tractor traffic.

Hungary apparently has the capacity, capability, and the funds to count every single pothole now in existence on Hungarian roadways. Wow!! Hell, if they can count them, why not fix them at the same time, duuuh!?

With the outrageous tax levied on motor fuel, the last thing the poor Hungarians can expect is driveable roads…

What feels worse, grounding out your Porsche on a tarred tractor track, or running into a trailer filled with horse manure?
