Despite all the gloomy talk about austerity, it’s business as usual at the National Development Agency (NFÜ), the state body mostly known for handing out mostly EU-sourced cash to businesses across Hungary. According to various sources, the NFÜ has just launched a roughly €2 million tender for a communications campaign aimed at… promoting the use of EU development grants.
You can find the relevant tender documents on the NFÜ’s spiffy website, though you’ll probably need to ask in person about who you needed to go to high school with to get the job, or how much needs to be kicked back. Just kidding – sort of.
No worries — once Hungaria adopts the euro and Turkey and Tadjikistan become full-fledged EU member states, all will be well in fantastic Euroland. Right?
Promoting EU development grants? If you are educated enough, and run a business, or intend to ‘start one’, then it will only take you six months to complete all the administrative ‘red tape’ these agencies require before you are considered eligible for a grant.
In the meantime you are both bankrupt and ‘chewing grass’!
@Finkleman
And you’ll have given them enough time to buy a Villa or two down on Balaton??
