Just over half of Hungarian adults own a computer and 40 percent are regular Internet users, market researcher GKI said on Wednesday quoting 2008 figures.
Around half of employees in Europe use a computer for their day-to-day work, as against 35 percent of employees in Hungary, the survey prepared jointly by GKIeNET, T-Home and T-Online shows.
A quarter of Hungarian internet users started using the web in the past 2 years and 42 percent in the past 3-5 years. Men have been using the internet for average 5.1 years and women for average 4.6 years.
Hungarian computer users sit for an average 3.8 hours in front of the screen each day.
