The number of internet banking clients in Hungary has remained low, a biannual Scale Research survey published on Monday revealed.
Only 9pc of the 1,500 people polled in the survey reported that they use internet banking services, 4.3pc more than a year before. The rise in the number of those who use internet banking services was 8pc for those between 36 and 49 years old, 6pc for those between 18 and 35 years old and only 2pc for those over 50 years of age.
The number of those using internet banking services continued to rise at its previous pace in spite of the global economic crisis.
About 90pc of those who use internet banking services reported that they did so in order to check their account history, while 66pc use it to transfer money. Only 3pc to 4pc of those who reported using internet banking services said they did so to transfer foreign currencies and for investment and securities transactions.
It is quite amazing more people don’t use online banking, as all banks seem to have terrible customer service. They charge ridiculous costs for any kind of transaction (even to give you your own money back in some cases), they keep opening more new branches instead of opening the existing bank branches when customers can easily get there i.e. In the evening or during the weekend. And of course if you do manage to make it there in the limited time they are open, then takes 10 time longer than online because of all the endless paperwork. I will stick with online banking whenever possible.
GK, here is what you should instead, Buddy: BANK IN VIENNA. Or else BANK IN BRATISLAVA.
Bad Hungarian banking problems solved, case closed.
Bratislava? Where is that? Somewhere in the neighborhood of Pressburg and Pozsony?
“Bratislava? Where is that?”
MY POINTED SUGGESTION: Look it up on a map of Asia or in a road atlas of Africa, Dumbass.
