Microsoft Hungary aims to raise market share above 75% amid slump in PC sales

Microsoft Magyarorszag aims to raise its share on Hungary’s PC operating system market by two percentage points from 74-76pc in its business year ending June 30, marketing director Gyula Sarusi said at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.

Hungary’s PC market will have contracted about 4.6pc in the 2008-2009 business year, while the sever market shrinks 12pc. In its next business year, Microsoft Magyarorszag sees the PC market contracting 10pc and the server market 7pc. During the same period, Microsoft Magyarorszag aims to raise it share of the PC operating system market by 2.4 percentage points.
