Fujitsu says notebook PC sales in Hungary to plunge in second half of ’09

Fujitsu Technology Solutions’ sales of notebooks and netbooks in Hungary could fall as much as 30pc in the second half of the year, managing director Gabor Poros said at a press conference on Tuesday.

It is a serious struggle even to sell fewer notebooks and netbooks at Hungary’s big supermarket chains than a year earlier, Mr Poros said.

Between 280,000-300,000 portable computers are expected to be sold in Hungary this year, down from about 400,000 in 2008.
