Spanish firm to build Hungary’s largest wind farm near Slovak border

Spanish wind-power company Iberdrola Renovables has decided to build 62 wind turbines on its wind farm located near Kisigmand (NW Hungary), the daily 24 Ora said on Monday.

Iberdrola Renovables said that the wind farm will have wind turbines with 2MW of nominal power each, made by Gamesa.

The first 25 turbines was completed in February, while the remaining 37 will be built by 2010.

The wind farm has already started to market electricity, Iberdrola’s representative in Hungary, Eva Brand, said.
