Hungarian bookseller Alexandra to start record label

Alexandra will expand its profile by starting a record label, Alexandra Records in September, the retail book chain announced. A six-member team will manage the new venture.

“The aim is to plug the gap left by the demise of many of Hungary’s major labels,” new division head Tibor Ódor told Napi Gazdaság.

Alexandra Records plans to release a 20th anniversary album of rock band Tankcsapda and albums by artists such as R-Go, Kati Kovács and 80′s underground performers such as URH and Sziámi.
