Bajnai refuses to soften taxes, commits to security and health care

“The government will not make any changes to the tax laws, even if the economic decline is steeper than expected,” Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai said in an interview with

“Although the government expects GDP to drop 6.7% this year, a more positive picture than that could emerge,” he added. “The disciplined operation of the state is the guarantee that the government can meet this year’s deficit targets,” Bajnai asserted.

“There could be minor readjustments to the chapters and sub-chapters of the budget, but it will not have been softened up when it is submitted to Parliament,” he said.

“As regards priorities, funding for public security must be increased and the decrease in healthcare funding cannot continue,” he added. “The sector will receive the same amount of funding in real terms as last year,” Bajnai pledged.

The same old, sad, MSZP policies and claptrap
everyday of the week. High taxes, subsidised
healthcare that is on a level with more affluent
countries – but Hungary can “ill” (oops!)afford it!
Bajnai represents the ugly face of communism
    under the guise of socialism.
Hungarians have got what they deserve for voting
these MSZP bastards into power. A country in
rack and ruin and continually being sold down the river to the highest bidder.

  2. Jorge says:

ChampionJackDupree, nobody had “voted in” Gordon Bajnai to be the country’s prime minister. Certainly not the people of Hungary. Get your story straight before you speak, pls.

  3. david says:

jorge. Get your own story right first. He said, for voting in MSzP NOT Gordon. A useless contribution from you again.

  4. Jorge says:

david, who the heck are you as of late, friend, JackDupree’s personal secratry or foot servant?

He said that the people have voted “these bastards” into power, and I was merely pointing out that no “people” had ever voted Gordie into power, kapish?

I guess you have real trouble distiguishing the difference between a popular vote by the people and an insider coup, hmmm? Tsk, tsk….

Listen, d-man, why don’t you be a good little boy and stay out of other people’s correspondence, unless you are their duly appointed manservant or foot servant or gofer. Well…. are ya’?

  5. ChampionJackDupree says:

Jorge. Can you read? Can you think? Obviously not!
Off with you now to an “under 5′s” playschool site.
Where you will feel more at home making imaginary
sandpies and splashing in the water, and painting
    your nose red.
I didn’t say Bajnai had been voted in. You cloth-eared moron.
The MSZP were able to form a government because
they, after a deal with you know who..? had a parliamentary majority. The abysmal track record of said government is apparent to everybody.
Except you, “who should be sleeping with the fishes”
or, playing happily in pigshit with the other halfwits.

  6. ChampionJackDupree says:

Apologies Jorge. I meant my last posting to be
    addressed to the jackass, David.
I will send you a voucher for 50,OOO huf as way
of a goodwill gesture when we get a new government.

  7. ChampionJackDupree says:

Sorry, Jorge, my original posting was correct.
You have been the numbskull all along!
My sincere apologies now to David whom I have
    unwittingly castigated.
My medicine is due soon.. the man in the white coat
tells ne…his name is Gyurscany Ferenc.

  8. Jorge says:

ChampionJackDupree: U R a BONA-FIDE ASS*HOLE. Go back to the raggedy country you are a refugee from, Fool! Ooopsie — they will not take you back, will they now? Ouch!!!

  9. CJD says:

Jorge. What countrty you illiterate racist
bullshitter? Or are u one of Erik’s in-house
lackeys that has nothing better to do than
    post half-witted, juvenile,drivel that, at
best, could be considered the work of the
    school dunce or village idiot.
Consider throwing yourself off a cliff.
    Then do it, tosser!!

  10. Anonymous says:

CJD, is “What countrty you illiterate racist
bullshitter?” even a proper sentence? And why don’t you look into the mirror before starting lambasting someone else wholesale? You certainly don’t lead by example, do you now?

  11. C'est moi says:

If someone were to come to Hungary and only read this thread between 3 people, they would come away thinking that there was absolutely no sort of education structure in place. It’s 2 against one and you numbskulls can’t even keep that straight, then you take a swing at Erik for somehow instigating this. Go home, you are out of your debth no matter how much I actually agree with your original post CJD. Jorge, get some reading comp skills before hitting ‘Submit’ again

  12. Anonymous says:

I guess what you had really meant to say, blogger C’est moi, is that you are always right and most everyone else posting is consistently wrong? Then why didn’t you just come out and say that? We can take some honest criticism from you, we really can.
