Internet portal stop.hu will operate the online version of Socialist daily Népszava, liberal daily Népszabadság learnt. This is unusual because daily papers usually instigate co-operation between their printed and online versions, Népszabadság commented.
Stop.hu CEO Éva Horváth is the former deputy spokeswoman of the erstwhile Socialist deputy mayor of Budapest Miklós Hagyó, who was recently dismissed from Budapest transport company BKV after a series of financial scandals.
Stop.hu will operate a Socialist-oriented site aimed at younger people, Népszabadság added.
