Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 7, was officially launched in Hungary on October 22, writes itcafe.hu. The public premiere of the successor to the much-maligned “Vista” OS will be held at the “Budapest Game Show” at Papp László Sports Arena on October 31. According to preliminary estimates, of the roughly 4 million personal computers currently operating in Hungary, 2.2 million are able to run the new operating system, including all the PCs and notebooks currently on sale at stores around the country. Meanwhile, it is estimated that within one year, 22% to 30% of major companies in Hungary are expected to update their PCs to W7, while 75% are expected to do so by 2012. No estimates were given, however, for how many people are expected to actually pay for the OS, though we’d guess that the number is about the same as the number of people who were happy to upgrade to Vista.
Windows 7 upgrades now available for purchase in Hungary. Hahahaha.

You gotta give it to Microsoft though, they never stop trying. But as far as I am concerned, everyone who had actually paid for Vista should get “Vista Basic & Allegedly Improved” (i.e. WIN 7) for free.
I moved to mac and linux. And never looked back to windows land
since. I’m quite happy not wasting anymore time on cleaning or
reinstalling windows they are the ones should pay money to people
for the time they waste and for the data they loose because of
windows D))))
Welcome to the world of Mac! Great isn’t it? Plus, you get that air of
smugness, knowing you’ve left all that pointless pain and
frustration behind forever, and you can actually get on with doing
what you wanted to in the first place without battling against the
Goddamn PC!
I just got a Sony laptop a week ago with WIN 7, and that baby is the best OS yet from Microsoft. With a SSD internal drive, my WIN 7 lappie boots up app. four times faster than a Mac laptop would with a traditional drive.
I never had any serious problems with WIN XP and Vista either, but I understand most people like to lay blame elsewhere.
Personally, I would never buy an overpriced and under-spec’d Apple computer, and their latest OS is bugzilla heaven. It doesn’t even work too good with their own Apple programs, like Final Cut Studio! Stay away!
