Raleigh Studios is building a $40 million film studio complex in Budapest’s 15th District of Rákospalota that is set for completion in April.
“This is going to be the finest studio on the continent: it will be truly run like a Hollywood studio,” company president Michael Moore said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Raleigh Studios Budapest will include a 45,000 square foot “superstage” that reaches 65 feet high, as well as lighting and other equipment rentals, a post-production facility, a 15-acre site for outdoor sets and a training school for film workers, the US daily explains.
Raleigh, which operates nearly 40 studios in the US and is owned by property developers George and Mark Rosenthal, opened a post-production facility in Budapest in 2007.
