Commercial television channel TV2 projects a revenue fall of 17pc or HUF 4bn for 2009, the business daily Napi Gazdasag reported on Monday, quoting commercial manager Krisztian Kovacs.
Mr Kovacs said the company’s turnover moved in line with the trend on the advertising market.
Based on the revenue decline forecast of its rival RTL Klub, TV2 expects to gain some ground among advertisers, he said.
TV2 is majority owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media of Germany through its subsidiary SBS Broadcasting group, a network of services in Scandinavia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania, and the United Kingdom. ProSiebenSat.1 Media, in turn, is owned by private equity firms Permira and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.
