Railway vehicle manufacturer Knorr-Bremse will build a new factory in Budapest from a €43 million investment, creating an additional 800 jobs, chairman Raimund Klinkner announced on Friday. The company will manufacture braking systems at the new plant.
The company expects a rise in production next year, but will only reach pre-crisis levels three to four years from now, Klinkner said.
Knorr-Bremse currently has 120 employees in its R&D centre in Budapest and 750 staff at its Kecskemét plant.
