Survey finds telecommuting in Hungary far below EU average

Telecommuting jobs account for 4.5-5pc of all jobs in Hungary, a proportion just one-third of the European Union average, state secretary at the Ministry of Social and Labour Affairs Gabor Simon said on Thursday.

About HUF 3bn in funding has gone to support the creation of 5,720 telecommuting jobs over the last eight years, Mr Simon said. The 2010 budget earmarks HUF 500m to support telecommuting, he added.
