Village near Budapest to hold referendum on planned golf course/hotel complex

The Pest County village of Páty (pop.: 6,578) will hold a referendum – likely on February 14, 2010 – about plans by Grupo Milton Management Zrt to build a golf course, thermal hotel, apartments and education center, writes vg.hu.

József Mervó, CEO of Grupo Milton Management Zrt, said the company will launch the real estate development project even if the result of the referendum is negative, but in that case, several establishments currently in the plans will not be built.

Among other developments, the investor is planning to build an 18-hole golf course, 1,500 apartments and 300 villas during the course of the 12-year project.
