Preparations for Nabucco pipeline said to be on track

Preparations to build the EU-backed Nabucco gas pipeline are on track, Hungary’s representative for the project told business daily Vilaggazdasag on Wednesday.

The financing consortium which would operate the pipeline has already been set up, Mihaly Bayer said.

Drafts of the exact route of the Nabucco, planned to stretch from Eastern Turkey through Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary to Austria, is expected to be completed within weeks, Bayer told the paper.

The draft then has to be approved by the consortium managing the project, Bayer said, adding that the next phase is to obtain environmental permits.

Bayer said he would start talks in Kazakhstan about the pipeline, which is planned to deliver gas from Central Asia and the Middle East, on Wednesday. In the Central Asia region Kazakhstan has shown the least interest in joining the project, he said.

    Anyway, on to a more interesting topic!
    What of your vinyl collection of rock bands and blues artistes? Or, perhaps all your collection is on CD!
    Otis Span? Muddy Waters? Rory Gallagher?
    Led Zeppelin..Peter Green/F.Mac..Eric Clapton..Jeff Beck..Rolling Stones etc.
    Let me know your favorites?
    regards!

    @Wings:

    Well of course this is completely OT – so all others just ignore it if you want to.

    I’d say all my vinyl records from the 60s and 70s are hopelessly scratched, so I bought everything on CD again.

    My favorites are Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton and a newcomer from NY: Joe Bonamassa (at 33 years already a Blues veteran who played guitar with B B King as a child!) – we’ve seen all of them lately in Germany and/or London.

    Thsi year Winwood and Clapton are doing a grand European tour together, playing many of their old “Blind Faith” songs …

    We already have our tickets for Munich in June (good stopover for us with my sister), therwill also be concerts in Vienna, Belgrade, Bukarest and Istanbul – but not Budapest.

    I’m not giving links here but you can easily find their sites. Enjoy!
