Customs police search three Roma offices

The Customs and Excise Office (VPOP) police are conducting a search of two Budapest offices of the Hungary’s national Roma self-government (OCO) and the Roma MCF party, a regional chief prosecution office spokesman said on Friday.

The search follows the allegation of financial misconduct by the State Audit Office, said Ferenc Szabo of Bacs-Kiskun county prosecution office.

The search, which also involves their office in Kiskunmajsa, S Hungary, is being carried out by officials of the prosecution office of Kecskemet on suspicion of other crimes, Szabo said.
