Deal for Chinese Túró Rudi turns sour as investigation launched into Eximbank loan

turokiittyy.jpgAn investigation has been opened in connection with a loan provided by the state-owned Eximbank for the launch of Túró Rudi production in China, according to index.hu. Eximbank, which belongs to the MFB (Hungarian Development Bank) group, had provided a loan of €2 million for the Chinese company Dzsong Hszing for the purchase of Hungarian machinery. (The purchase price, €2.2 million, was not much higher than the loan.) According to an agreement signed in 2007, the Chinese company should have started paying back the principal in fall 2009, but this has still not happened. Production of Tútó Kiittyy has not started, either.

The Chinese side is said to be complaining about faults in the Hungarian technology, while the Hungarians are winging about the incomplete product introduction advertisement campaign.

Meanwhile, Hungarian exporter EU-Milk Technologies Kft seems to have disappeared. The portal could not reach its executives and their website is also gone.

You gotta love these smoke and mirrors deals.

If only it were an Olympic sport, think of all those golds for Hungary.

  2. Viking says:

But this is the kernel of Jobbik’s Economic Policy as stated in their Manifesto:
III.1.5. A külgazdasági orientációnk kelet felé fordítása
my interpretation of the interesting parts is:
Instead of an orientation towards West Hungary should concentrate on developing relations with:
    China,
    India,
    Russia,
    Turkey,
    Kazakhstan,
    Indonesia
Expanding exports and fruitful cooperation in return for economic enterprises in these Eastern countries
The expansion of economic relations in order to help confirm the political and cultural links with the above countries and peoples
The high level of contact with Asian people, should be founded on the existing relationship, the common heritage of civilization

I make any reservation for bad translation, so feel free to make a better translation.
So, it is what I have said before:
    * Jobbik’s economic policy is to skip the West and suck up to China and Russia, because Hungarians do have a common kinship with the Asians
    -
So, if the Chinese cannot even fix a Turi Rudi Factory, how will the rest go?

It doesn’t matter what bunch of flunkies you got operating out of those government buildings in Budapest – the net result is the same: CORRUPTION.
Even the Chinese have cottoned on and send their cheap, shitty products, that fall apart after a week, or sooner.
Still, the wine and the porcelain exports will
make up for any trade deficits we have with other countries. I expect we will become more conversant with the doner kebab soon. Courtesy of Turkish fastfood cuisine. Marginally better than McHorribles donkeyburgers.
It looks like the money as well as the bandits have disappeared in the Dzsong Hszing fiasco.
Dzsong Hszing? This means stuper irrriott. (Stupid idiot).
Just another day in the life of Hungary’s duckin’ and divin’ scandals.
