Germany's CAS Software has opened a development centre in the Hungarian city of Szeged for Apple iPhone and iPod applications, R+D director Ludwig Neer said on Tuesday.
CAS Software picked the city because it offers the best IT training in Hungary, and because staff turnover is far lower than in Budapest, Mr Neer said. More than 20 employees will staff the development centre, he added.
The company has established an excellent partnership with the IT department of the Szeged University of Sciences, Mr Neer said. They plan joint research and are applying together for European Union funding, Mr Neer said.
CAS Software had revenue of EUR 35m in 2009, 25pc more than in 2008.
