Road linking Pécs with airport expanded
Local and state officials on Wednesday inaugurated a HUF 1.6bn expansion of the road between Pecs, which is a 2010 European Capital of Culture, and the airport in nearby Pogany.
European Union development funding covered 85pc of the cost of turning the two-lane road into one with four lanes.
