The forint traded at 273.49 to the euro late Thursday, compared to 269.87 on Wednesday, weakening sharply with other emerging market currencies in the region as risk aversion grew on global markets.
The forint weakened past 271 to the euro overnight on Wednesday after trading between 268.90 and 269.90 during the day.
The forint traded at 198.37 to the dollar late Thursday, softening from 193.21 on Wednesday.
On the secondary market for government securities, secondary market benchmark yields were up 5-18bp over the previous day.
