Hungary's industrial output rose an unadjusted 1pc and was down a workday-adjusted 1.4pc in the twelve months to December 2009, Central Statistics Office (KSH) said in a first reading on Friday. The unadjusted rise was the first yr/yr increase since September 2008.
In a seasonally and calendar-adjusted month-on-month comparison, however, industrial output fell a sharp 5.7pc in December after a 1.3pc monthly drop in November. Output rose month-on-month both in September and October after drops in the previous two months.
Output dropped 17.7pc in 2009 after no change in 2008, the preliminary figures show.
