PSZÁF fines banks for breaking rules on informing clients

Hungarian financial market regulator PSZAF on Monday said it fined MKB Bank, Erste Bank Hungary, Budapest Bank and Raiffeisen Bank a combined HUF 10m for breaking rules on informing clients.

PSZAF fined MKB Bank HUF 3m, Erste Bank Hungary HUF 3m, Budapest Bank HUF 2m and Raiffeisen Bank HUF 2m.

PSZAF closed reviews of banks’ practices informing clients at six other banks without taking action. The banks were OTP Bank, OTP Jelzalogbank, Merkantil Bank, UniCredit Bank Hungary, K and H Bank and CIB Bank.
