National tax office APEH will be able to find signs of tax evasion – such as fictitious companies and fictitious invoices – easier in the future, thanks to some advanced IT solutions it has just adopted, writes napi.hu.
In part thanks to the upgrades, the APEH will be paying special attention this year to companies which change their headquarters or owners with unusual regularity, or record a sudden growth in turnover.
Certain companies, such as those trading in IT tools, mobile phones and office supplies, and those dealing with logistics, transport and grain trade, can also expect heightened checks this year.
In addition, employers with payrolls heavy on workers on the minimum wage or double this amount can expect more scrutiny.
