Ukraine announced yesterday that it suspended electricity exports to Hungary, Romania and Slovakia due to coal shortages in late January.
The supply of electricity from Ukraine to Hungary ceased at midnight on January 27 and market players reported no imports to the national grid Mavir, CEO Gábor Tari revealed.
About half of the exporters concerned are controlled by Ukraine politician Yulia Tymoshenko.
