Among Hungarian IT firms, a full 60% are located in Budapest, while the remaining companies suffer from the overcentralization of activity in the capital, piacesprofit.hu writes.
Several large companies located in the countryside have been forced to open expensive branch offices in the city to manage business liaisons.
Tamás Klotz of the Hungarian Association of IT Companies believes that events like the upcoming Virtual Software Fair (March 17-19) might help the situation. The expo is focused on promoting virtualization solutions at work, such as video conferences which do not require personal meetings, thus can increase work efficiency and reduce costs.
The event can be attended by anyone on the Internet at http://www.szoftverborze.hu/.
