PM stresses importance of restoring prestige of work

Hungary’s future depends on whether we can restore the prestige of work, Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai said in a lecture at the Széchenyi István University in Győr on Thursday.

The premier said 56-57% of Hungary’s working age population are in work, which is extremely low. Generating jobs and restoring faith in work are tasks facing future governments. Cutting red tape would massively increase Hungary’s pulling power, he added.

Bajnai said he expects 3-4% economic growth from next year.
