Hungary’s industrial output rose an unadjusted 3.4pc and a workday-adjusted 5.7pc in the twelve months to January 2010, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said in a first reading on Tuesday.
The unadjusted twelve-month decline in industrial output, exports and domestic sales was uninterrupted between October 2008 and November 2009, and the workday-adjusted figures showed a steady fall of output and exports started as early as July 2008.
In a seasonally- and calendar-adjusted month-on-month comparison, industrial output rose 8.8pc in January.
Output declined month-on-month in November and December after rises in the previous two months.
KSH will publish a second reading of January output figures, including figures on exports and domestic sales on March 17.
