The winner of a tender for the sale of a an old barracks in Gyor (NE Hungary) bid gross HUF 6.5bn, Hungary’s National Asset Management Company (MNV) told MTI on Tuesday.
The winner will not be named until after the contract for the sale is signed, MNV said.
The barracks lie on almost 150 acres in the area of a nature reserve, but the local council of Gyor earlier voiced support for the barracks’ use as an industrial area, paving the way for an investor to set up a logistics park or a manufacturing base.
