Kulcs-Soft launches first Hungarian e-book reader for iPad

Hungarian software company Kulcs-Soft on Friday said an e-book reader application it developed for the Apple iPad was available for download, free of charge, from the Apple Store.

The application, called KS Reader, is the first Hungarian language e-book reader developed in Hungary for the iPad, Kulcs-Soft said. Currently, the programme can be used to read more than 40 free Hungarian language books, poems and other publications. But Kulcs-Soft wants to see this list expanded to several thousand and is in talks with several publishers.

Kulcs-Soft, whose shares are listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange, plans to create a prototype of a digital textbook by the autumn.
