While there remains a steady increase of wealthy Asian investors coming into the Hungarian market (although their total numbers remain relatively small) what may ultimately affect their interest in buying is whether or not a building conforms to the principles of Feng Shui, ingatlanmenedzser.hu writes.
While this has hardly been a matter of importance for most Western European investors, deals have fallen through before because a property did not conform to the Chinese system of aesthetics. District XV’s Asia Center was built with this in mind, but it would be hard to believe that most of the city was (whether or not it conforms is another case). If nothing else, it at least means those wary of foreign investors buying up Hungarian property should probably still look toward the West and not the East.
