A report by inforadio.hu states that this previous August saw an increase of 23.5% in the sale of new cars as compared to a year ago. Fords were the most popular vehicles among those sold in August, and this brand was also the most popular in the period from January to August this year. On the whole for the period from January to August, however, there was still a drop of 37% from one year to the next, meaning that no one should be surprised that the average age of vehicles in Hungary is over ten years old, and rising.
