Seventh time’s not the charm as latest attempt to sell landmark Hungarian hotel falls flat

Yet another push to sell Debrecen’s Aranybika Hotel has fallen flat, with no bidders in the latest – the seventh – attempt to find a new owner for the landmark hotel. This despite owner Cívis Hotels having slashed its asking price by Ft 700 million, to Ft 1.4 billion (€4.5 million). Let’s hope they weren’t counting on a new owner to pay the utility bills, so they won’t be cut off like last winter. Ouch. []
