Hungary’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” goes bust

A liquidation procedure has been launched against the company that managed the four-star Aquarell Hotel, Napi Gazdaság writes.

The “Wellness” hotel in Cegléd was owned by Géza Hajdú, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010.

Hajdú financed only 16% of the construction from own capital and the rest from mainly foreign-currency denominated loans.

The hotel operator incurred a Ft 148 million loss last year.
