Output of Hungary’s construction sector fell 11.2pc in June from the same month a year earlier, according to both unadjusted and workday-adjusted data, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Thursday. Output of the building segment fell 12.1pc in June. The civil engineering segment contracted 10.3pc. In a month-on-month comparison, construction sector output dropped a seasonally and workday-adjusted 0.5pc.
The sector contracted 10.1pc in January-June from the same period a year earlier.
New order stock was up 14.0pc in June from twelve months earlier. New orders in the building segment were up 11.6pc and they climbed 16.1pc in the civil engineering segment.
Total order stock rose 5.5pc in June from the same month a year earlier. Orders were down 18.1pc in the building segment but up 20.4pc in the civil engineering segment.
