State motorway manager ÁAK yesterday invited bids for installing an electronic road toll system in Hungary by July 1, 2013, giving applicants until October 1 to submit offers.
The announcement appears on the EU procurement website TED under a title that is not obvious, Népszabadság writes.
Bidders must show annual revenues of at least Ft 20 billion in the years of 2009-11, at least Ft 10 billion of that from electronic toll systems.
Bidders must also show that they have installed a toll system covering a minimum of 500km in the past three years, which is still operating.
