State motorway company invites tenders for electronic toll collection

State motorway manager ÁAK yesterday invited bids for installing an electronic road toll system in Hungary by July 1, 2013, giving applicants until October 1 to submit offers.

The announcement appears on the EU procurement website TED under a title that is not obvious, Népszabadság writes.

Bidders must show annual revenues of at least Ft 20 billion in the years of 2009-11, at least Ft 10 billion of that from electronic toll systems.

Bidders must also show that they have installed a toll system covering a minimum of 500km in the past three years, which is still operating.

“October 1″ and “The announcement appears on the EU procurement website TED under a title that is not obvious, Népszabadság writes.”

Clearly, you need to know BEFORE that such a bid has to be prepared…
